It was 10 years ago today
A litte Angel came your way
She was so frail and oh so ill
And now I know it was God's will
Her time had come to leave this place
For I saw it written in her face

She was so very tired she said
As I sat with her by her bed
I held her hand and stroked her face
So beautiful and full of grace
I watched her breathe for one last time
I knew she was no longer mine

And as she left she smiled at me
So I could see that she was free
From all her pain and sorrow
There would be no more tomorrows
She sleeps in peace in Heaven above
And fills my heart with all her love
