The Road of Life

Life is lika road;
For some it's smooth,
And for others, rough.
But always God is there,
A guide on our path of life.
He gently helps us
If we only let Him in,
And if we've fallen,
As a gentle Father
He reaches his hand to lift us up,
And help us on our way.
When we hit those rocks
And jagged stips
On our journey of life,
As a loving Parent,
He guides us through,
But lets us help ourselves as well,
To learn a lesson from it.
And whenever He chooses,
He will lift us off our road of life
And bring us close against His heart
As a parent takes their child up
And makes every pain go away.
Peacefully, he takes His gentle hands
And pulls us close to Him
Or pushes us far away.
So, dear friends, be careful
So that our Father will take you in
To be forever with Him.
