When I return home from the days end I would often call Baby Doe darling I am home. In my heart you’re your angelic voice echoes through our empty home. I often I would inquire honey are you here? Intellectually I know my queries will go unanswered. Spiritually I hear your response “Hi honey welcome home I missed you.” “How was your day?” I respond great darling. I love you more than you and I will ever know. You would respond in the same way. We would gently kiss and embrace. I would gaze into your lovely blue eyes that not even the greatest of writers can describe. In your honor I would set a place at the table. It’s a place that you will never sit again except in spirit. It’s a place no one else could ever fill. I know you are home now with Our Lord Jesus. I know I will join you someday in our Lords kingdom and we will be together again beyond forever. I will love you beyond forever my darling Baby Doe.

Hello my darling. It’s been a grueling seven years since the Lord called you home On 11/1/02. I miss you more than I can say. It’s true what Joan Didion said in her book A Year Of Margical Thinking “Grief is a place no one knows until you get there.” I miss you my dad and our dear Wilbur so much that I often cry. Honey you remain everything to me my wife, best friend, and mentor. I know someday when the Lord is ready to call me home we will be reunited never to be separated again.

Why the Lord Jesus chose me to be blessed with your love I will never fully understand until he calls me home. On the day he calls me home I shall rejoice for we will never be separated again.
